Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Director with a strong background in optometry and a passion for driving business growth and strategy within the eye care industry.

About the Role
  • Lead the development and implementation of business strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and alliances within optometry.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development and innovation aligned with the company's strategic goals.
  • Analyze industry trends and market dynamics to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including optometrists, ophthalmologists, and industry organizations.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree with active licensure.
  • Proven track record in business development and strategy within optometry.
  • Strong understanding of optometric practice management and clinical protocols.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Additional Compensation

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include stock.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, or related field and 5 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area OR 7 years' experience in business development, market development, product development, or related area.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in sales, Master's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or related field, Planning and managing budgets, Supervisory experience, Working with cross-functional teams.
