At Apple, we transform innovative ideas into remarkable products and experiences. Our team thrives on passion and commitment, pushing the boundaries of technology to create exceptional hardware solutions.

We are currently looking for a Hardware Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to lead the Camera Enabling Technologies team. This role focuses on spearheading the design and development of pioneering exploration platforms and foundational technologies that shape product architecture decisions.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust engineering background, demonstrating the ability to lead a dedicated, multi-disciplinary engineering team through the definition and proof of concept phases for new imaging technologies and architectures tailored for Apple products.

A successful candidate will have a proven history of guiding teams in the development of intricate hardware technologies while navigating through uncertainty.

This individual should also have a profound understanding of technology development phases and effectively apply situational program management to structure, develop, and coordinate comprehensive program plans.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define project scope, manage resources, and establish milestones and timelines.
- Collaborate across functions to ensure essential project support and prioritization.
- Facilitate seamless inter-team communication for a globally distributed organization.
- Simplify complex technical topics, identifying key issues and risks for executive management.

- Exceptional program management and leadership capabilities: a methodical and proactive approach to orchestrating program plans, estimating schedules, and defining and managing project objectives.

- Comprehensive technical engineering expertise to effectively initiate and oversee projects, particularly during the early ambiguous phases, assess and mitigate technical risks, and critically evaluate engineering decisions.

- Proven ability to manage multiple global teams and vendors effectively.

- Skilled in maintaining focus and transparency in complex situations while keeping an eye on the broader picture and the demands of a fast-paced development cycle.

- Proficient in accountability without direct control, adept at identifying and prioritizing issues amidst competing demands.

- Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities.

- Knowledge of imaging system design and/or camera component design and subcomponents.
