The Image Quality Qualification team is on the lookout for a candidate with robust expertise in photography, videography, or image science, along with a desire to expand their knowledge.

Apple's camera technology is intricate, but we will equip you with the necessary skills to excel. You will be instrumental in advancing photo and video image quality, influencing the future of Apple's camera systems.
Key Responsibilities:

We seek a collaborator committed to understanding, developing, and enabling cutting-edge camera functionalities.

Your contributions will directly impact various camera technologies, including Portrait mode, innovative video features, and novel photo capture techniques.

Your role will encompass active involvement in quality assessments for new functionalities and algorithms through experimental evaluations in both controlled environments and real-world settings.

You will provide valuable feedback to engineering teams.
You'll be an essential member of a dynamic, collaborative team that thrives in a fast-paced atmosphere.
Minimum Qualifications:

BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Art, or Film.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience in capturing, displaying, analyzing, and editing images using software such as Lightroom, Apple Photos, and Photoshop.

Strong comprehension of how to evaluate image quality attributes in practical settings.

Familiarity with the evolution of image development and the ability to form insights on upcoming aesthetic trends.

An excellent eye for photography, videography, and cinematography on both technical and artistic levels, with an understanding of what constitutes a compelling photograph or video.

Knowledge of standard camera workflows and operations, including sharpening, denoising, HDR, image fusion concepts, compression, and video encoding.

Experience with camera laboratory equipment and managing camera systems in a lab context.

Strong presentation skills and effective communication abilities.

Capacity to work collaboratively with both team members and cross-functional groups.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is one component of our comprehensive compensation package and is determined within a specified range.

This structure allows for growth as you advance and develop within your role.

The base salary range for this position is between $136,300 and $248,700, with your salary depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the chance to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees may be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if they voluntarily participate in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
