Summary

As a key member of our Camera Technologies division, you will tackle significant challenges that demand innovative solutions. Your expertise in crafting exceptional camera experiences will be essential in designing cutting-edge technology that enhances the photographic capabilities of our products. You will engage in the design and development of revolutionary concepts related to our camera systems, spanning from sensors to lenses. Collaboration with various teams across the organization will be crucial as you research, develop, test, and validate camera hardware for our product lineup. Together, we will create a transformative photography experience that elevates customer expectations.

Description

Your responsibilities will include assessing advanced pixel technologies from international image sensor manufacturers. You will work closely with these suppliers to innovate new image sensors tailored for diverse applications. Additionally, you will coordinate with both internal and external teams to ensure comprehensive and accurate testing throughout all phases to confirm optimal performance. Your findings will be documented and presented to engineering teams, both within and outside the organization. You will engage in cross-functional collaboration to advance the development of next-generation camera products and features.

Key Qualifications
  • Proven experience in image sensor pixel and sensor development, including characterization, bring-up, debugging, or wafer-level testing.
  • Familiarity with image sensor technologies, performance metrics, and their integration into camera systems.
  • Awareness of industry trends and technical challenges in the field.
  • Strong knowledge of sensor applications to effectively support the camera development team.
  • Hands-on experience with silicon bring-up, sensor characterization, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficient in data analysis tools such as JMP, MATLAB, and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of teamwork and leadership.
Education & Experience

A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant industry experience are required.

Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is just one component of our total compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for growth as you advance in your role. The base pay range for this position is between $143,100 and $264,200, influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

    Employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Eligibility for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and the option to purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan are available. Additional benefits include comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, discounts on products and services, and reimbursement for certain educational expenses related to career advancement. This role may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments.
