Report Management: Responsible for completing and submitting a variety of reports, including pre-trip inspections, mileage logs, student attendance records, and maintenance documentation.

Equipment Handling: Operates school buses equipped with specialized tools and manages office equipment.

Collaboration: Engages with Transition Employment Coordinators, educational staff, students, job site personnel, and other relevant stakeholders.

Decision-Making: Exercises independent judgment to resolve student-related issues and make decisions in accordance with established guidelines and conduct codes.

Qualifications: Candidates should possess knowledge of child development, behavior management strategies, special education regulations, and bus operation protocols. The ability to supervise effectively, communicate clearly, operate vehicles safely, manage emergencies, and foster positive relationships is essential.

Requirements:

  • Preferred qualifications include two years of college education or relevant work experience.
  • A valid Virginia Driver's License is mandatory; a CDL License is recommended.
  • Candidates must meet the physical and training standards required for bus drivers.
  • Background checks and assessments are required.
