Job Title: Document Control Specialist

Vestal Corporation is seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Document Control Specialist to join our team. As a vital part of our growing team, this role has endless possibilities for career growth and development.

Job Summary: The Document Control Specialist will be responsible for transmitting documents issued by the Project Team, ensuring accuracy and overall quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Project Management team to transmit documents.
  • Verify the accuracy and quality of project documents.
  • Distribute drawings, specifications, RFI, and submittals.
  • Manage and track specifications, RFI's, and submittals.
  • Perform quality checks on documents.
  • Establish and maintain electronic files.
  • Update document logs.
  • Manage and transmit drawing revisions.
  • Comply with Company's Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization's goals.

Work Environment: This role is performed in a Vestal Corporation office.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and operating a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to move about the office to access office equipment and other office buildings within the Vestal office complex.
  • Frequent communication with others and ability to exchange accurate information.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in construction and engineering.
  • Strong understanding of construction and engineering terminology.
  • Highly detail-oriented with effective organization and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.
  • Ability to work in a multi-tasked, deadline-driven environment and handle a large volume of electronic documents.
