The Registered Nurse is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to our residents. As a Geriatric Nurse Specialist, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and evaluate resident needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
- Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing wound care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate resident care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure that resident needs are met and concerns are addressed.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care provided to our residents.
- Current Registered Nurse license in West Virginia.
- 12 continuing education hours required annually.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- IV certification preferred.
The Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate effectively with residents and families, and prioritize tasks to meet the needs of our residents.
