Job Summary:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist will be responsible for managing the district's cash flow by processing and reconciling daily deposits, maintaining the online payment processing system, and providing training to schools and departments on uploading fees and invoices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and reconcile daily deposits and maintain accurate records
- Manage the online payment processing system, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments
- Train schools and departments on uploading fees and invoices into the electronic payment system
- Provide backup support for budget secretaries and school store account secretaries as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of accounts receivable experience, preferably in governmental or non-profit accounting
- Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Strong math skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Sheets
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Ability to sit for long periods at a computer and occasionally lift up to 20 lbs
