Job Summary:
The Electrical Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling and testing electrical components in accordance with established specifications. This role emphasizes adherence to safety protocols and the Lean Enterprise strategy.

Essential Duties:
  1. Interprets work orders, bills of materials, blueprints, and schematics to determine the most effective assembly methods.
  2. Collects and verifies the necessary parts, tools, and measuring devices for assembly tasks.
  3. Assembles, wires, and solders electronic components as per specifications.
  4. Conducts bench and machine wiring of panels based on electrical documentation.
  5. Tests equipment functionality and software, completing all required documentation including test reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  6. Provides assistance to customer service in resolving field-related issues.
  7. Maintains a safe working environment and promotes awareness of potential hazards.
  8. Performs routine cleaning and preventative maintenance on tools and equipment as necessary.
  9. Practices good housekeeping and ensures proper disposal of waste in compliance with safety and environmental policies.

Occasional Responsibilities:
May perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:
Knowledge and Skills:
Applicants should possess an associate degree in electrical or electro-mechanical technology, or equivalent experience. A comprehensive understanding of electrical theory, meters, and testing equipment is essential. Candidates must be able to read wiring diagrams and blueprints, and have a working knowledge of bills of materials. Proficiency in wiring for both high voltage (480V) and low voltage (24V) is required, along with troubleshooting capabilities down to the board level.

Experience:
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience using similar tools and measuring equipment is necessary.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a resource for others in the department, assisting with training and problem resolution as needed.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
The role involves physical demands typical of a manufacturing environment, including the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
