Compensation is competitive and may include overtime opportunities, dependent on experience and geographical location. Positions are available throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Salary Range: $66,000 – $75,000

If the selected candidate possesses qualifications for a more advanced role, the job level may be adjusted accordingly.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, agricultural equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors; or military heavy machinery like MRAP vehicles, HMEE, or tanks; aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) or similar
  • Previous experience in mechanics and/or equipment servicing
  • Educational background in mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems

Job Responsibilities:

  • Replace electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components as needed
  • Utilize all available technical resources (including operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, procedural determination, and parts identification for repairs
  • Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and prepare reports
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Execute all tasks in accordance with Altec Safety protocols and procedures
  • Inform supervisors of any situations that may affect customer relations
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive information on all required documentation
  • Uphold Altec Company Values in all interactions
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational abilities
  • Capability to lift and move objects and tools weighing up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling required
  • High level of dexterity
  • Provide basic tools as per Altec tool policy when necessary
  • Valid driver's license
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to support customers by working overtime when needed
  • Advocate for safety in all aspects of work
