We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to join our team at JBT. As an Electrical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and testing electrical components according to specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Reads work orders, bills of materials, blueprints, schematics and other written or verbal work instructions to determine best assembly method.
- Verifies and gathers parts, tools and measuring devices needed for assembly.
- Assembles, wires, and solders electronic components according to specifications.
- Performs bench and/or machine wiring of panels from electrical documentation.
- Tests equipment operation and software.
- Completes required test documentation including test reports, failed test reports and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Assists customer service with problems in the field.
- Associates degree in electrical or electro-mechanical technology, or equivalent work experience.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical theory, electrical meters, and test equipment.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and blueprints; working knowledge of bill of materials.
- Wiring skills for both high voltage (480V) and low voltage (24V).
- Ability to troubleshoot down to the board level.
- Demonstrated ability to meet safety, production, and quality requirements in the assigned area.
- Basic computer knowledge for labor tracking and navigating assembly drawings.
- Mechanical aptitude with proficiency in hand tools such as crimpers, strippers, drills, grinders, knockout punches, etc.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; safety and detail-oriented.
The majority of the time is spent in a manufacturing environment that is not air-conditioned.
Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job is regularly required to sit, stand, and walk. Uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. Regularly required to lift and move 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
