POSITION TITLE:
Automated Vehicle Assembly Specialist

SCHEDULE:
Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM (10 Hour Shifts)

COMPENSATION:
$22.00 per hour

EMPLOYMENT TYPE:
Temporary to Permanent

OVERVIEW:

This role involves the assembly of automated guided vehicles, ensuring adherence to production schedules while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Utilize various hand tools for assembly tasks.
  • Interpret mechanical and electrical schematics for proper layout and assembly.
  • Establish mechanical and electrical connections using the appropriate tools.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe workspace.
  • Identify and mitigate safety issues in vehicle design.
  • Perform maintenance tasks as required.

SUPERVISORY ROLE:
This position does not entail supervisory responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
To excel in this position, candidates should possess:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in product assembly.
  • The ability to read blueprints, schematics, and bills of materials.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Certification for operating powered industrial trucks.
  • Prior experience in medium to heavy mechanical assembly.
  • Capability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
  • Experience with tools such as drills, files, and grinders.
  • Background in servicing vehicles or similar machinery.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for training or assignments.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Candidates must be capable of lifting, standing, walking, and using hands for extended periods. Visual acuity is essential for detailed work.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position involves exposure to moving mechanical components within a moderately noisy environment.
