Position Overview

The Senior Security Incident Response Specialist will possess a robust background in cybersecurity and will be actively engaged in managing incidents. This role involves monitoring networks for any unusual activities, deploying and analyzing digital artifacts, and generating comprehensive reports. The specialist will be responsible for assessing and directing responses to security incidents, leveraging their forensic skills to investigate and resolve issues effectively.

During non-incident periods, the focus will shift towards process development, team training, and strengthening the organization's security framework. This position is crucial for ensuring the reliability and security of the organization's information systems while meticulously documenting all procedures.

Qualifications

- Over 10 years of experience in the field of Security

- At least 5 years of hands-on experience with Incident Response and analysis

- Recent experience in digital forensics

- Proven leadership experience, including training other analysts

- Experience in client-facing roles

- Proficient in malware analysis and ransomware identification to enhance security protocols

- Background in law enforcement or military service

- Familiarity with Encase software

- Experience working with the Department of Defense
