Position Overview

As a pivotal member of the Procurement team, the Senior Financial Analyst will provide essential financial insights and support under the guidance of the Director of Supply Chain Services & Operations. This role is integral to the financial management of the procurement function, which is responsible for sourcing both direct and indirect materials essential for Trinseo's diverse product range.

Key Responsibilities

1. Collaborate with functional leaders and global management teams to shape the operational and financial strategies of the procurement function.
2. Foster a financial mindset across the organization, translating operational metrics into performance measures and identifying areas for improvement.
3. Safeguard organizational assets by managing risks and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
4. Support the monthly forecasting, annual planning, and long-term strategic processes with comprehensive financial projections.
5. Analyze financial results during the closing process, communicate discrepancies, and assist with audit requirements.
6. Ensure compliance with the company's control systems related to financial reporting and operational processes.
7. Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on optimizing working capital and enhancing profitability across various dimensions.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or Accounting (Master's/MBA/CPA/CFA preferred).
- 5 to 8 years of experience in financial analysis or cost accounting.

Skills and Competencies

- Proficient in financial accounting and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on economic evaluation.
