Director of Nursing-Behavioral Health-Days

Job Summary
The Director of Nursing-Behavioral Health-Days is responsible for leading the nursing team in providing high-quality patient care in the behavioral health department. This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as a deep understanding of nursing practices and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate for the use of evidence-based practices and educate staff on the importance of data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with nursing peers and faculty to stay up-to-date on current nursing research and best practices.
- Ensure staff accountability through performance management, coaching, and development opportunities.
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the nursing department, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide fiscal leadership and manage department budgets to achieve financial targets.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- 3-5 years of related experience in a leadership role
- Current RN License in the state of Texas
- BLS Certification
- Unit-specific competencies obtained within six months of hire or transfer date
