Job Summary:

The Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Behavioral Health Acute Care team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients with complex behavioral health needs.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the medical staff.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care and unit activities.
  • Participate in daily nursing groups and contribute to the development of unit-specific competencies.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN license in the State of Texas.
  • BLS certification.
  • Unit-specific competencies obtained within six months of hire.
