Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to lead our General Surgery department at Christus Health. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing the nursing services and staff, ensuring quality and compliance with relevant policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the General Surgery department, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, quality of care, and staff satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a healthcare field, Master's degree in Nursing, Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of clinical patient care experience in a relevant setting, minimum 2 years of healthcare leadership experience.
  • Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications: RN license in good standing in the state of employment or a compact state, if applicable, American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
