Job Overview

Position Summary

The Facilities Engineer is responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of the hotel’s infrastructure and systems. This role involves responding to maintenance requests and ensuring that all equipment functions efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address guest maintenance inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance on all hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and guest accommodations.
  • Oversee engineering operations during off-peak hours to ensure consistent service delivery.
  • Regularly inspect the property to verify that all systems are functioning properly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all tools and workspaces.
  • Document maintenance activities, including parts utilized and additional supplies required.
  • Manage elevator operations and address any malfunctions as they arise.
  • Report safety hazards to the Engineering Manager for immediate attention.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Assist with property-related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in facility maintenance is preferred.
  • Ability to operate snow removal machinery may be required.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying to address service requests throughout the hotel.
  • Regular bending and kneeling for inspections and repairs.

Educational Background

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Trade school education or specialized training in maintenance and construction is preferred.
  • Previous relevant experience is advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary: $19.00 per hour
