Company Overview:
A leading wholesale grocery cooperative seeks a highly skilled sales leader to spearhead its Health, Beauty & Wellness (HBW) and General Merchandise (GM) categories. As part of Associated Wholesale Grocers, you will be instrumental in driving growth and profitability across the company's extensive network of member retailers.

About the Role:
We are looking for a seasoned category management expert with a proven track record of delivering results-driven strategies and initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and manage HBW and GM brands and products, ensuring optimal cost of goods and impactful programs that help our retail members excel on shelf with profitable sales.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies to drive sales growth, improve profitability, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Build and maintain strong vendor partnerships to secure best pricing and consistent supply for our retail members
- Negotiate everyday best cost of goods, promotional funding, and general vendor agreements to deliver optimal programming for retail members
- Partner with vendors and brokers to develop annual plans, promotional programs, and downstream division communications that drive optimal retail member results
- Collaborate with buying organization and vendor partners to ensure proper supply within AWG warehouses associated with specialty foods

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, marketing, or a related field
- At least 10 years of grocery experience, with 5+ years of category management and center store experience
- Strong financial acumen, with ability to read and analyze P&L statements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with cross-functional teams and external partners
- Valid driver's license and Microsoft Office skills
