About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Business Development Manager to join our team at Elevance Health. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for collaborating with leadership to develop and execute strategic projects, identify and prioritize key initiatives, and manage mid-level projects across multiple business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate effectively with ASC team members and leadership in the development and execution of strategy projects
  • Identify, prioritize, and select strategic initiatives
  • Manage mid-level projects that cross multiple business units while problem-solving difficult challenges
  • Perform advanced analyses with short and long-term views; interpret research and intelligence to identify growth opportunities and provide recommendations to senior management
  • Demonstrate thought leadership, team engagement, and an ability to execute on strategy
  • Facilitate large cross-functional working sessions and meetings to align strategy and plan
  • Provide Continuous Improvement coaching and mentoring to team members
Requirements
  • Requires a BA/BS in a related field and a minimum of 1 year experience in management consulting, change management, large scale project management, and/or process improvement leadership
  • Ability to travel may be required
Preferred Skills and Experiences
  • Healthcare experience, most notably consulting strategy experience, is highly preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, demonstrating fluency with all key packages preferred
  • Written, oral, and presentation skills necessary to successfully influence senior executives strongly preferred
  • Previous experience identifying competitive threats, defensive measures, and supporting the development of future strategic response and innovation options, with demonstrated experience contributing to the analysis of company needs and supporting the growth of business strategies strongly preferred
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, with demonstrated project management skills preferred
