Business Development Manager Role Overview

The Business Development Manager is a key member of the Hitachi Energy team, responsible for driving business growth and expansion through strategic partnerships and network development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through aggressive networking and relationship-building
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and executives within customer organizations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Proposal, and Operations, to ensure seamless sales efforts
  • Document customer requirements and develop tailored solutions to meet their needs
  • Travel extensively to customer sites, with a strong emphasis on virtual communication and collaboration

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of the electric utility sector and associated technology and business landscape
  • Proven sales management skills, with a defined planning process and ability to motivate project team members
  • Experience with building strategy for pursuing non-installed base customers, with defined short, mid, and long-term goals and action plans
  • Ability to engage across businesses and divisions, with a strong understanding of software offerings and market needs
  • S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business Management, or a related discipline
