Overview:
Assist the Banquet Manager in the organization and oversight of banquet services and other food and beverage operations to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, high-quality service, adherence to corporate policies, and compliance with all relevant regulations while achieving financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the adherence of servers and support staff to established service standards.
  • Supervise guest service, remaining attentive to guests' needs.
  • Support the manager in establishing and monitoring completion of sidework duties.
  • Maintain financial accountability in accordance with HEI Hotels and Resorts standards.
  • Review daily communication logs from the previous shift and prepare updates for the next shift. Ensure appropriate staffing coverage.
  • Inspect dining areas for cleanliness and proper setup. Verify service stations and aisle areas are tidy. Ensure tables are clean and properly arranged.
  • Comply with all state, federal, and corporate regulations regarding the service of alcoholic beverages.
  • Maintain daily communication with the restaurant manager regarding special events and guest counts.
  • Assist the restaurant manager in conducting menu training and tasting sessions.
  • Provide clear verbal and written instructions to staff.
  • Adhere to attendance policies and be available for regular shifts.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry preferred.
  • Proficient in point of sale systems.
  • Ability to lift and carry weights up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Capability to push and pull carts weighing up to 150 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication style for various audiences.
