Job Summary:

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse in our Float Pool at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Conduct thorough and accurate multi-system assessments, identifying deviations from normal and reassessing patients throughout their hospital stay.
  • Planning: Develop individualized nursing plans of care, taking into account the patient's developmental needs and coordinating care activities with other departments and community agencies.
  • Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures based on protocol for the management of medical and surgical patients, accurately documenting care in the electronic medical record.
  • Evaluation: Evaluate assessment methods, plan of care, and patient response to treatment, participating in unit quality assurance activities.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 9 months of RN experience, with 3 years of recent ICU critical care experience and demonstrated expertise.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided) required at hire.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.
  • Basic Life Support required at hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous healthcare experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
  • 5 years of recent ICU nursing experience preferred.
  • CCRN preferred.
  • PALS preferred.
