Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment: Conduct thorough and accurate multi-system assessments of patients, identifying potential health problems and developing individualized care plans.
  • Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive nursing plans of care, prioritizing patient needs and coordinating care activities with other healthcare disciplines.
  • Implementation: Provide direct patient care, administering medications, performing procedures, and utilizing evidence-based practices to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Evaluation: Continuously evaluate patient responses to treatment, making adjustments to care plans as needed and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Experience: Minimum nine (9) months of RN experience, with one (1) year of recent ICU nursing experience or successful completion of the Kaiser ICU cross-training program.
  • Licensure: Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided), Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Basic Life Support, and NIH Stroke Scale Certificate within 3 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous Healthcare Experience: Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a critical care environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field.
  • Certifications: CCRN certification and experience with dialysis, SLED, or equivalent.
