Technician for Rail Vehicle Electronics

At SEPTA, we are committed to providing safe and reliable transportation services to our customers. To achieve this goal, we need experienced technicians like you to maintain and repair our rail vehicle electronic systems.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, calibrating and repairing all rail vehicle electronic printed circuit boards and subsystems assigned to the Woodland Electronic Repair Shop. You will also provide technical support to all rail locations and assist SEPTA's engineering department with electrical/electronic projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electronic principles, as well as experience with troubleshooting and repairing complex electronic systems. A high school diploma or equivalent with 2 years of electronic technical school, associate degree in electronics or military electronics-technical training is required. Must possess valid driver's license and have good hand and eye dexterity to work with extremely small electronic components.

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $40.54 per hour, based on market rates in Philadelphia. This rate increases to $45.69 per hour after one year of employment.
