About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at SEPTA. As a key member of our maintenance operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient maintenance of our rail vehicle fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of maintenance staff to ensure effective delivery of maintenance services.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to minimize downtime and maximize vehicle availability.
  • Monitor and control labor and material expenditures to ensure budget compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement maintenance strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations, and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance operations, including supervisory experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality maintenance services while controlling costs.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to think critically and strategically.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $89,908 - $134,888 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan and 457B deferred comp plan. Our employees also enjoy free travel on all SEPTA modes of transportation and qualify for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program.
