Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a multi-year vision for Talent and HR across the employee life cycle, ensuring effective execution and a customer-centric approach.
  • Collaborate with schools to design and implement talent strategies that ensure schools have the talent they need to deliver instructional excellence.
  • Provide vision and support for the scaling, integration, and refinement of data-driven Talent and HR systems and policies, as well as the optimization of team functions and roles.
  • Ensure strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving orientation between Talent, HR, and school-based teams.
  • Partner with the Managing Director of Equity and Schools' teams to develop and implement aligned performance management systems, including coaching and leadership development for managers.
  • Address employee concerns, resolve issues, and liaise with legal counsel as necessary, while proactively putting risk mitigation measures in place.
  • Ensure KIPP Capital Region complies with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including teacher credentialing.

  • Successful navigation of complex talent/HR issues and experience building talent/HR systems and teams from the ground up.
  • Ability to create and work within an inclusive environment that honors and supports a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives.
  • Master's degree from an accredited institution and at least 10 years of related professional experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
