Your Role as a Cisco Solutions Consultant: Delivering Value
- Utilizing your technical expertise, you will work alongside Cisco partners and colleagues (sales, CX, engineering) to effectively position, demonstrate, and sell solutions that enhance customer value.
- You will assess customer needs, facilitate demos/trials/PoVs, expedite new opportunities, and lead the solution lifecycle, demonstrating a strong commitment to customer success.
- Your passion for technology's impact on business will shine through as you engage in thought leadership via customer/partner events, training sessions, blogs, and active sales participation.
Key Responsibilities: Defining Success
Technology Focus:
- Maintain a deep understanding of technologies across the portfolio, recognizing market trends and Cisco solutions that deliver customer benefits, partner ecosystems, competitive advantages, and long-term visions. You will map Cisco solutions to customer environments to address their business outcomes effectively.
- Promote Cisco's platforms, solutions, and strategies to drive adoption, integrating software and subscriptions into messaging to foster recurring revenue. You will be well-versed in Cisco's primary platforms, including Networking Cloud, Security Cloud, Collaboration, FSO, and the Power of the Platform.
Sales Engagement:
- Understand market needs and encourage customers to adopt new technologies to digitize their operations and maintain a competitive edge. Build trusted relationships with both technical and business decision-makers, exploring innovative solutions through demos, technical updates, and strategic planning.
- Recognize your role in the Cisco E2E Selling Method, focusing on customer intimacy and strategic relationship building. Understand customer decision-making processes and address their business needs through a comprehensive lifecycle approach to ensure value realization.
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Educate customers, partners, and account teams on Cisco solutions and differentiators, applying your knowledge to achieve positive outcomes. Collaborate across technology domains to drive cross-architectural solutions and communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
- Support demand generation and enablement initiatives, contributing to internal and external events, mentoring partners and colleagues, and collaborating with BEs on product roadmap direction to maintain market leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant pre-sales experience is highly desirable.
- Experience with Cisco products or relevant competitor offerings in the technology sector.
- A degree in a related field (EE/CS) or equivalent experience.
- Cisco Certifications such as CCNP, CCDP, or CCIE are highly desirable.
