Position Overview

The Lead Financial Analyst at Aztec plays a crucial role in delivering financial insights, strategic analysis, and operational support for the organization. This position is pivotal in generating comprehensive financial reports, collaborating on budgetary processes, and conducting in-depth variance analysis. The ideal candidate will be a proactive change agent, adept at identifying efficiency opportunities and implementing effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and disseminate reports that enhance performance visibility across the organization.
  • Support the annual and interim budgeting processes.
  • Achieve expertise in our financial planning tools.
  • Engage in monthly business evaluation meetings.
  • Spot and leverage opportunities to add value.
  • Simplify processes to enhance performance visibility.
  • Establish trust and partnership with business leaders.
  • Respond to inquiries from the field in a timely and professional manner.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of sensitive data.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as required.
  • Fulfill additional duties and contribute to various projects as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline is mandatory.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Proficient understanding of financial systems.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI and SQL is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with problem-solving abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this role require the employee to sit, stand, walk, and use hands and fingers to operate a keyboard, mouse, and telephone. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.

Work Environment
This position is primarily based in a corporate office setting, with potential for a hybrid work arrangement following the training period.
