Key Responsibilities:
- Apply financial acumen to construct detailed Total Cost of Ownership models, analyze data, provide strategic insights, and influence decision-making within the organization.
- Develop dynamic Cashflow models to project Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period (PBP), and Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) for various transportation assets.
- Oversee financial reporting for the business unit, ensuring accuracy of data and facilitating strategic planning and decision-making.
- Spearhead planning, forecasting, and modeling for Capital Expenditures during annual and quarterly cycles.
- Identify opportunities to enhance the efficiency and consistency of financial tools by implementing automation in models and reporting processes.
- Emphasize financial governance, addressing data integrity challenges, reinforcing financial controls, and advocating for fiscal responsibility.
- Educate stakeholders on financial implications, enabling informed decisions in data-limited environments, and effectively communicating complex financial matters.
- Adapt communication styles for diverse audiences, influencing critical business decisions through clear and concise data presentations.
- Foster constructive discussions, resolve conflicts, and build consensus to achieve business goals.
- Cultivate expertise in your domain, promoting work-life balance, encouraging collaboration, and establishing operational excellence standards for new team members.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related discipline such as engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
- At least 3 years of experience in finance or a related analytical role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial governance.
- MBA or CPA certification.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
- Expertise in financial modeling, profit and loss management, or financial analysis.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with peers and various levels of management.
