Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply financial acumen to construct comprehensive Total Cost of Ownership models, scrutinize data, provide strategic insights, and influence decision-making within Amazon.
  • Develop dynamic Cashflow models to project Net Present Value (NPV), Payback Period (PBP), and Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) for various transportation assets.
  • Oversee financial reporting for the designated business area, ensuring data integrity and facilitating strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Spearhead planning, forecasting, and modeling for Capital Expenditures during annual and quarterly cycles.
  • Identify avenues for improving financial tool efficiency and consistency through automation in models and reporting processes.
  • Emphasize Controllership by addressing data integrity challenges, reinforcing financial controls, and advocating for financial prudence.
  • Educate stakeholders on financial implications, enabling informed decisions in data-scarce scenarios, and effectively conveying complex financial matters.
  • Adapt communication styles for diverse audiences, influencing key business decisions through clear and concise data presentation.
  • Foster constructive discussions, resolve conflicts, and build consensus to meet business objectives.
  • Cultivate expertise in your domain, promoting work-life balance, encouraging collaboration, and establishing operational excellence standards for new team members.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related discipline such as engineering, mathematics, or computer science.
  • At least 3 years of experience in finance or a related analytical role.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4+ years of experience leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance controllership effectiveness.
  • MBA or CPA certification.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and financial systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards).
  • Expertise in financial modeling, P&L management, or financial analysis.
  • Strong communication skills for engaging with peers and various levels of management.
