Overview:

Position Summary:
This role focuses on delivering specialized knowledge in electric vehicle power management systems.

The candidate will collaborate with local suppliers and lead developers to ensure that the designs meet the market's specific requirements while supporting electric vehicle initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:
Local Electric Vehicle Development - (75%)
Maintain an in-depth technical understanding of current products aimed at the North American market.
Identify and address any discrepancies to guarantee that market specifications are integrated into the products developed for this region.

Conduct thorough technical evaluations of components and vehicle designs to confirm compliance with local market demands.

Support for Locally Produced Electric Vehicle Development - (25%)

Assist in the localization of power distribution by collaborating with local suppliers and design teams to ensure that design specifications are fulfilled or necessary modifications are made.

Provide development assistance for local manufacturing processes (including quality assurance, logistics, procurement, etc.) for electric vehicles produced in Chattanooga.

Qualifications:

Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in electrical power distribution development.

Education - Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

Education - Preferred:
Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Skills:
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking abilities.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Effective communication skills, including interpersonal, presentation, and written communication.
Proficient in relevant software applications.
Ability to integrate people, processes, or systems effectively.
Strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.
Resource management expertise.
Proficiency in German and/or Spanish, both written and verbal, is a plus.

Specialized Skills - Required:
Experience in high voltage power management for electric vehicles.
Background in automotive development.

Specialized Skills - Preferred:
Experience in high voltage powertrain design.
Familiarity with high voltage battery systems.
Experience in electric vehicle/component manufacturing.

Work Flexibility:
Willingness to travel frequently to local suppliers.

Occasional travel to review project designs with international teams may be required, particularly during the initial phase to establish connections and gather information.
