Electric Vehicle Analysis Engineer
Location: Chattanooga
Role Overview:
- Assist in pre-production builds and electronic preliminary tests (e-Basket).
- Guarantee the timely commissioning of vehicles and analysis in line with the pre-production build timeline, ensuring high quality at each build stage and on-time vehicle delivery.
- Record rework time per vehicle and time spent on various tasks.
- Conduct analyses to identify root causes and suggest corrective actions, including documentation.
- Investigate root causes of issues through data evaluation and practical techniques.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams for problem-solving initiatives and support analytical efforts.
- Examine measurement reports, technical drawings, and 3D models for any buildability concerns.
- Document buildability challenges in relevant tools and disseminate reports according to project status.
- Conduct part sample production trials to identify process defects or errors and to validate product modifications and quality enhancements.
- Provide product rework instructions and conduct one-time training sessions.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electric/Electronic fields.
- Experience with vehicle electronic networks/systems (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with vehicle functionalities and shared network communication.
- Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
- Familiarity with vehicle analysis tools.
- Over 3 years of relevant experience in the automotive industry.
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities.
- Proficiency with tools such as IDEX, Vector CANape, CANoe, DiaRa, or similar.
- Certification to work on electric vehicles (HV certificate L2).
This position is responsible for the commissioning of pre-production vehicles and involves analyzing errors and evaluating corrective measures to ensure vehicle buildability and timely delivery. The role includes monitoring pre-production vehicles during production or stationary builds to document any electronic engineering-related buildability issues. Collaborate with production teams on electronic engineering topics for in-depth analysis and provide solutions, including documentation and rework/training instructions. Analyze statistical data to compile documentation for further analysis and work closely with relevant departments such as Development, Logistics, Production, and Quality Assurance. Support cross-functional teams on electronic engineering and other working groups as needed.
