The Vertex Companies, LLC is a global $150M professional services firm that offers integrated forensic consulting, expert witness services, construction project advisory, and compliance and regulatory consulting to a myriad of markets and industries.
Job DescriptionWe are looking for a highly motivated Business Development Director with a proven track record of generating new sales with attorney groups and insurance company clients. This role is centered on identifying and closing new business opportunities for our national Claims, Disputes and Forensics practice.
Responsibilities- New Client Acquisition:
- Identify and target potential clients in need of our professional services through proactive outreach and research.
- Develop and maintain a steady pipeline of new sales opportunities through existing relationships in your network, networking with our existing client base and other means.
- Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and execute a sales plan with clear goals to meet or exceed sales targets for new business.
- Negotiate contracts and close deals with new clients, ensuring a smooth handover to the service delivery teams.
- Market Research & Prospecting:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities in the expert services sector and target new areas for expansion.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and key players to inform sales tactics and refine targeting strategies.
- Sales Pipeline Management:
- Maintain CRM/Salesforce to track leads, opportunities, and deal progress, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field to our professional services offerings.
- 10+ years of experience in business development or sales, focused on generating new business with attorney group and insurance company clients. Prior experience selling "expert witness" services required.
