Job Title: Construction Project Manager

Location: REMOTE - requires travel to various locations in FLORIDA

Compensation: $50-55/hour (long-term contract)

Essential Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of robust project management experience, adept at handling multiple projects concurrently.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the design and construction processes, including standards and cost considerations.
  • Demonstrated project management and merchandising expertise (at least 1 year in merchandising).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Project, Outlook, etc.).
  • Experience with proprietary Project Management software.
  • Willingness to travel (2-4 days weekly) and operate remotely.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, requiring minimal daily oversight.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Excellent presentation skills.

Role Responsibilities:

This prominent Healthcare Company is in search of skilled Construction Project Managers to oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of new and renovation construction projects. The role encompasses managing the complete lifecycle of retail construction initiatives, from budget formulation and scheduling to construction oversight and project closure. The ideal candidate will collaborate with both internal and external teams to assess project strategies, define scopes, and present proposals to senior management. Responsibilities include managing project budgets and timelines, ensuring adherence to company designs and standards, while also handling permits, contracts, and reporting obligations. This position is a continuous contract with potential extensions every six months based on performance, with a requirement to travel to various sites in the region.

  • Collaborate with internal real estate teams, business units, architects & engineers, and contractors to evaluate project opportunities, define scopes, and establish budgets and timelines.
  • Oversee the execution of retail construction projects from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Manage financial responsibilities for approximately $15M+ in annual operational and capital budgets.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to facilitate construction projects and ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct site inspections to verify that work aligns with company plans, specifications, and standards.
  • Implement merchandising activities, including site walkthroughs with operational partners, material procurement, and follow-up visits.
  • Review and adjust project schedules and budgets, addressing any issues that may arise.
  • Adapt project plans in response to changes in the retail landscape.
  • Oversee the punch list and project closure process to ensure all tasks are completed satisfactorily.
