This role encompasses managing a diverse range of projects, which may include both smaller and larger multi-structure or intricate construction endeavors.

The Construction Management Specialist possesses a thorough understanding of the current industry landscape and pricing methodologies, enabling them to assist in sales efforts by developing project scopes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance client satisfaction by addressing issues, implementing corrective measures, and formulating communication strategies with both internal and external parties to ensure timely updates on project status.
  • Oversee all facets of project administration, including knowledge of and compliance with contract penalty provisions and/or liquidated damages, analyzing reports to pinpoint project shortcomings, and providing direction on remedial actions, ensuring adherence to business standards, project documentation, safety protocols, and navigating through regulatory requirements at various governmental levels.
  • Manage the financial aspects of projects comprehensively, including cash flow management, monthly cost/revenue forecasts, projected completion costs, expense monitoring, collections support, and overseeing the preparation and communication of monthly backlog reviews with leadership.
  • Confirm project scope, budget, and timeline by reviewing contractual documents, conducting internal meetings, establishing client expectations, identifying potential risks, and formulating mitigation strategies.
  • Engage qualified subcontractors, oversee the request for quotation (RFQ) process, award contracts, manage subcontractor performance, and collaborate with subcontractors to set communication protocols for project progress, meetings, billing expectations, and safety measures.
  • Develop and maintain project timelines utilizing tasks, dependencies, and milestones.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Project for tracking and scheduling projects.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial project management.
  • High School diploma required, along with excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite at an intermediate level, including Outlook.
