Job Description

VirtuSense is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Systems Engineering Manager to lead our systems engineering team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and deployment of complex, integrated systems that are critical to our AI-driven fall prevention products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the systems engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to ensure the team's success.
  • System Design and Integration: Oversee the end-to-end design and integration of hardware and software systems, ensuring alignment with company objectives and product requirements.
  • System Architecture: Develop and maintain system architectures, including hardware, software, and network components, to support AI-driven fall prevention solutions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define system requirements, ensuring that systems meet both technical and customer needs.
  • Project Management: Manage the entire lifecycle of systems engineering projects, from concept through deployment and maintenance.
  • System Performance: Ensure that systems are designed for scalability, reliability, and security, with a focus on real-time performance.
  • Integration and Testing: Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate computer vision algorithms, sensors, and AI models into the overall system architecture.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with system design, development, and deployment.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee testing, validation, and certification processes to ensure that systems meet regulatory and safety standards.
  • Reporting and Communication: Report on project status, timelines, and budgets to senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, including requirements analysis, system design, integration, testing, and validation.
  • Technical Skills: Experience in managing complex hardware and software integration projects, proficiency in systems modeling and simulation tools, knowledge of embedded systems, real-time systems, and sensor integration.
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering high-quality, reliable solutions.
Preferred Skills:
  • Industry Experience: Experience in healthcare, safety-critical systems, or IoT (Internet of Things) environments.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards related to medical devices or fall prevention systems.
  • Cybersecurity: Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices for embedded and networked systems.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their integration with edge devices.
