Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage in all aspects of electrical engineering design, including:

  • Analysis and design of electrical systems, such as power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems.
  • Preparation of construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications.
  • Providing support during construction administration, which includes site visits and review of shop drawings.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with a focus on electrical systems.
  • Preferred enrollment as an Engineering Intern in the State of Illinois.
  • Possession of a Professional Engineering license is advantageous; the ability to obtain licensure is required.
  • 2-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in designing lighting, lighting controls, power distribution systems, and fire alarm systems.
  • Experience with Revit is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with AGI32 and Elumtools (lighting design software) is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Powertools (power analysis software) is a plus.
  • Strong technical writing skills are preferred.
  • Effective time management and communication skills are essential.
  • A collaborative mindset and the desire to work within a team are necessary.
