Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Project Engineer to join our team. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting Project Managers with detailed engineering analysis, preparing engineering reports, permit applications, and construction plan preparation. You will also direct and train Civil Design Technicians and/or Civil Designers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft procedures and system requirements for clients
  • Utilize various design software
  • Coordinate with municipal, transportation, traffic, and other disciplines
  • Complete permit applications for various municipalities
  • Design flexible and rigid pavements
  • Develop geometric pavement and site circulation designs
  • Prepare specifications and cost estimates
  • Conduct traffic warrants and guardrail warrants
  • Direct and train Civil Designers to assist with reports, exhibits, plans, and specifications
  • Perform additional functions as assigned

Requirements

  • Mastery of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in producing precision technical plans and drawings
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in construction
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and AutoCAD Civil 3D software
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form
  • Understanding of materials and methods
  • Ability to interpret state and local design criteria and apply it to project needs
  • Ability to produce high-quality construction documents

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer license is preferred
  • Minimum of 6 years of qualifying experience
