Key Responsibilities
As an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Designing electrical systems in compliance with relevant codes.
- Researching commercially available equipment and resources.
- Coordinating design efforts and schedules with structural and mechanical engineers, technology experts, and equipment suppliers.
- Reviewing design methodologies and changes in project scope with the lead engineer.
- Applying standard practices and techniques to ensure accuracy and consistency in project execution.
- Collaborating with clients and project managers to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Learning from and collaborating with fellow engineers and environmental scientists.
- Developing leadership skills to foster autonomy within the team.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (professional engineering license preferred but not mandatory).
- A minimum of ten years of experience in designing and implementing electrical systems for industrial or municipal facilities.
- Experience with medium voltage and 480-volt distribution, motor control centers, lighting systems, instrumentation, and control systems.
- Knowledge of electrical building systems design and construction techniques is advantageous.
