Our practice primarily focuses on employment class actions, addressing issues such as wage-and-hour infractions, violations of meal and rest periods, unpaid wages (including minimum wage, overtime, off-the-clock work, split shifts, and regular rate), expense reimbursements, delayed final wage payments, and paystub discrepancies. Additionally, we handle claims under the Fair Credit Reporting Act and other complex consumer class actions. We frequently litigate cases involving wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and sexual harassment.

With over 200 citable Westlaw citations and a distinguished list of successful high-profile cases, our firm was the lead counsel in a landmark California Supreme Court ruling in Troester v. Starbucks Corporation Cal.5th 829, which notably departed from the federal de minimus standard regarding wages—one of the most significant cases in recent history. Our victory also impacted the FCRA in Gilberg v. California Check Cashing, Inc., 913 F.3d, which expanded the Ninth Circuit's precedent in Syed v. M-I, LLC, 853 F.3d, abolishing the idea that a disclosure could include a liability waiver. The Ninth Circuit determined that any extraneous information in a disclosure form prior to obtaining a background check contravenes the standalone disclosure requirement under the FCRA.

FIRM STRUCTURE: Law Office (5-10 attorneys)

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Senior Associate Attorney

  • Compensation: Up to $300K+ plus significant bonuses (Dependent on Experience)

We are seeking a senior-level Associate with a minimum of 5+ years of preferred experience in employment law litigation and class actions within a law firm environment.

Senior Associates will be tasked with managing a team on a daily basis, supervising Junior Associates, and overseeing all facets of the cases assigned to them. They will ensure that the daily management of cases by their Junior Associates adheres to the firm's standards while also engaging in collaborative discussions regarding case strategy, planning, discovery, depositions, settlements, and more complex legal motions.
