Coastal Ecology Group, LLC is seeking a Senior Energy Efficiency Consultant to join our dynamic team within a leading environmental and engineering consultancy. Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate utility data for energy and water performance metrics.
  • Implement corporate energy audit protocols and utilize tools to assess energy and water efficiency strategies.
  • Prepare ASHRAE Level 2 Energy Audits to meet various funding criteria.
  • Conduct property inspections to gather data for Energy Audits and Green Building Certifications.
  • Ensure timely completion of property site assessments within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, developers, and property stakeholders.
  • Develop Energy Models for multifamily units and generate reports that identify energy-saving opportunities and compliance with green financing.
  • Effectively communicate project-specific issues to management.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements to facilitate project completion and ensure prompt submission of expense reports.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, sustainability, or related fields is preferred; however, candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience in green building consulting, energy auditing, energy modeling, or project management.
  • Familiarity with building diagnostics such as blower door tests and combustion safety assessments.
  • Experience with ASHRAE Level I/II energy audits.
  • Possession of certifications such as RESNET HERS, BPI, AEE, or LEED is advantageous.
  • Experience in energy modeling for residential units; knowledge of commercial modeling is a plus.
  • Proficiency in energy modeling software such as REM/Rate or Ekotrope.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to assess data and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to collaborate with teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to learn and collaborate with various teams.
Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Capability to work at heights and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
