Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate utility data for energy and water performance assessments.
  • Implement corporate energy audit protocols and utilize corporate resources to assess energy and water efficiency initiatives.
  • Generate ASHRAE Level 2 Energy Audits to meet various funding criteria.
  • Conduct property inspections to gather data for Energy Audits and/or Green Building Certifications.
  • Complete site evaluations in accordance with project timelines and budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with clients, developers, and property stakeholders.
  • Create Energy Models for multifamily housing and compile reports detailing energy-saving opportunities, energy performance metrics, and compliance with green financing.
  • Effectively communicate with management regarding project-specific challenges.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements to facilitate project completion and ensure timely submission of expense reports.
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, sustainability, or a related field is preferred; however, candidates with relevant experience and technical training will be considered.
  • Proven experience in green building consulting, energy auditing, energy modeling, project management, or related fields.
  • Experience in building diagnostics, including blower door tests, duct leakage assessments, and combustion safety evaluations.
  • ASHRAE Level I/II energy auditing credentials.
  • Relevant certifications such as RESNET Home Energy Rater (HERS), BPI, AEE, LEED, or similar qualifications are advantageous.
  • Experience in energy modeling for residential units; familiarity with commercial or whole-building modeling is a plus.
  • Proficiency in energy modeling software such as REM/Rate or Ekotrope.
  • Exceptional writing and communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with a focus on data evaluation and problem-solving.
  • Excellent organizational and teamwork skills, capable of working independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • A willingness to learn and collaborate with various internal and external teams.
Physical Requirements:
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, and lifting.
  • Capability to work on ladders.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
