Role Summary:
An Agile Program Management Specialist possesses essential skills in planning, organizing, communication, and problem-solving. This role requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, conflict resolution, and risk management abilities. As an Agile Program Management Specialist, you will define project scope and timelines while ensuring the timely delivery of value. Responsibilities include organizing and leading project meetings, preparing progress reports, managing risks and issues, and adjusting plans as necessary. You will oversee multiple complex projects and develop recovery strategies for any deviations from the original plan. This role emphasizes innovation, development, and delivery of new products aligned with the Product Development portfolio, minimizing risks through enhanced analysis, decision-making, and monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain the HiL Software Validation Cycle plan, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
- Lead the comprehensive gathering of product requirements and project scope across various teams.
- Monitor project progress and devise recovery strategies for any deviations from the established plan.
- Create and distribute effective status reports tailored to diverse audiences, from team members to executives.
- Prepare and deliver presentations at the executive level to support the governance of Product Lifecycle Management.
- Facilitate program-level meetings to communicate status and coordinate efforts effectively.
- Conduct retrospectives on completed projects to identify opportunities for process, policy, and tool improvements.
- Collaborate with peers and management to solve problems, develop plans, and coordinate efforts.
- Encourage collaboration and transparency, fostering trusting relationships across the organization.
- Play a key role in the organization's Agile transformation, demonstrating strong leadership and a collaborative attitude.
Preferred Skills:
- Effective communication skills across written, verbal, and presentation formats for various audiences.
- Experience in developing schedules using Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to create and document project charters, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management plans.
- Critical thinking skills to analyze problems, develop solutions, and manage risks.
- Proficiency in managing projects that involve both software and hardware components.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in gathering product requirements and project scope.
- Ability to influence and drive team and program success.
- Strong understanding of technology companies and the interactions between various business functions.
- Proficient in tracking and communicating the status of initiatives and release milestones.
- Familiarity with JiraAlign is desirable.
- Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word; travel may be required.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing projects in technology-focused companies.
- Preferred PMP certification and experience in successfully managing projects.
- Experience with dSpace Hardware/Software is a plus.
- Experience leading geographically dispersed project teams.
- Background in concurrent software development environments is advantageous.
- Technology product development experience is highly valued.
- 2+ years of SAFe/Agile/Lean experience preferred.
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology, such as BSEE or BSCS.
Preferred Education:
- PMP certification and Agile Scrum Master certification are desirable.
