Job Overview

VEHICLE MASS PROPERTIES SPECIALIST

As a key contributor, you will focus on delivering innovative solutions for Vehicle Mass Properties and Energy Management tailored for global vehicle initiatives. Collaborating within the Vehicle Engineering Energy Management sector, you will engage with diverse teams to ensure the effective execution of worldwide automotive and truck projects. Mastery of Mass Properties is essential for developing and applying global platforms and vehicle mass strategies that enhance customer features while meeting Fuel Economy, Emission, and Safety certifications across various markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute Mass Strategy utilizing systems engineering methodologies in partnership with functional teams
  • Formulate and oversee Mass and Load Capabilities Strategy
  • Perform Mass Property Forecasting
  • Examine mass distribution and inertia characteristics for modeling and analytical purposes
  • Deliver mass calculations for Vehicle Loads and ground reactions under different loading scenarios
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with powertrain, chassis, body structure, and electrical systems
  • Comprehension of vehicle architecture and standard vehicle material properties
  • Acquaintance with systems engineering, optimization, and statistical analysis
  • Proven experience in leading international teams and utilizing CAE tools
Required Experience:
  • A minimum of 1 year in the ground transportation or aerospace sector in an engineering or analytical capacity
Preferred Experience:
  • 5+ years in the ground transportation or aerospace industries in an engineering or analytical role
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
Preferred Education:
  • Master's Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science
