Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Strategic Solutions of Virginia, LLC. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining the design and integrity of customer software systems, coordinating complex projects, and providing exceptional technical support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage the SSVA Proven Process to drive client success in areas of growth, business efficiency, people, and client experience.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and its relation to customer needs.
  • Provide technical support for Microsoft core business applications, virtual environments, and SAN technologies.
  • Design, implement, and support Microsoft-related technologies, including Azure, Windows Server, Microsoft 365, SQL, SharePoint, and more.
  • Engineer and implement system solutions that meet customer needs.
  • Implement and support disaster recovery solutions.
  • Provide technical services and support at the network level, including WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and security.
  • Implement and support remote access solutions, including VPN and Terminal Services.
  • Understand and manage DUO Multifactor Authorization processes and configuration.
  • System documentation and consulting services, including system reviews and recommendations.
  • Communicate with customers as required, keeping them informed of incident progress and notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service and satisfaction.
  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
  • Escalate service or project issues that cannot be completed within agreed service levels.
  • Business awareness, including knowledge of the customer and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of the service catalog and its relation to customer needs.
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities.
  • Responsible for entering time and expenses in ConnectWise as it occurs daily.
  • Understand processes in ConnectWise by completing assigned training materials and blueprints on the ConnectWise University.
  • Work through project tickets and phases in ConnectWise as assigned by the Professional Services Manager.
  • Enter all work as service or project tickets into ConnectWise.
  • Review IT publications and online materials to remain up to date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry.
Requirements
  • Professional IT certifications, such as Microsoft AZ-104, Microsoft AZ-140, Microsoft AZ-700, Cisco CCNA/CCNP, VMware VCP.
  • Interpersonal skills, including telephony skills, communication skills, active listening, and customer-care.
  • Diagnosis skills of technical issues.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly.
  • Technical awareness, including ability to match resources to technical issues appropriately.
  • Service awareness of services for which support is being provided.
  • Understanding of support tools, techniques, and how technology is used to provide IT services.
  • Typing skills to ensure quick and accurate entry of service request details.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-moving environment.
  • HIPAA Training and Certification (provided by the company).
  • Previous Managed Service Provider experience a plus.
