Seneca Family of Agencies is in search of a Community Outreach Coordinator to further our steadfast mission: Providing unwavering support and care to children and families navigating challenging circumstances.

In the role of Community Outreach Coordinator, you will be instrumental in strategizing, organizing, and implementing various events while fostering relationships with community volunteers, organizations, and individual benefactors to bolster Seneca's mission and fundraising initiatives in the Central Coast Region.

Key Responsibilities:
Event Coordination and Execution


Design, oversee, and implement a variety of special events, including galas, donor appreciation gatherings, and community outreach programs to enhance our visibility.

Meet fundraising objectives for special events, contributing to the overall financial goals of the organization.


Manage event marketing and promotional strategies, including invitations, online registration, social media outreach, and event materials.


Engage and coordinate with Seneca staff and leadership to support local events, whether as participants or volunteers.


Oversee event budgets to ensure financial targets are achieved.


Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies related to event management, volunteer coordination, and fundraising.


Relationship Development and Collaboration:


Work closely with the Director of Major Gifts and regional community leadership boards to build relationships with event sponsors, vendors, community partners, and stakeholders to enhance support for events and the organization's mission.


Manage and further develop regional community leadership boards, facilitating virtual and in-person meetings and creating opportunities to leverage board member contributions.

Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with corporate partners, serving as the primary contact for corporate engagement in the region.


Volunteer Coordination:


Establish and maintain a comprehensive volunteer database, ensuring accurate records of volunteer information, availability, skills, and interests.


Conduct volunteer orientations and training sessions, providing ongoing support and recognition to volunteers for their contributions.


Donor and Community Relations:


Regularly contribute content for team marketing and communication initiatives.


Utilize the CRM system to monitor donor interactions and analyze engagement data.


Prepare reports, presentations, and updates on event outcomes, volunteer metrics, and donor engagement for the fundraising and organizational leadership teams.


Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated experience in event coordination and volunteer management, ideally within a nonprofit or fundraising context.

Strong project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for building relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Proficiency in event management software, volunteer management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Willingness to travel as required for community outreach and engagement activities.

Availability for evening and weekend work as necessary to support events and leadership boards.

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

This position offers a hybrid work environment.

Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:
Starting salary range of $78,665 - $92,665 annually, with actual salary based on relevant experience.

Additional compensation available upon successful completion of a bilingual language proficiency assessment.
