Job Title: Legal Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Legal Assistant to join our team at Beacon Hill. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will provide critical support to our attorneys and play a vital role in the success of our law firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including email management, calendar organization, and contact management.
  • Plan and coordinate events, meetings, and travel arrangements, including creating detailed itineraries.
  • Enter and submit attorney time, open new client matters, and oversee billing.
  • Draft, edit, and print documents, presentations, and spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Interact with clients, attorneys, and internal staff in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain organized desks and create effective filing systems.
  • Handle high-volume phone calls and ensure messages are delivered promptly and accurately.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative capacity within a law firm, legal environment, or corporation.
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and juggle multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with different personalities in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently.
  • Proficiency in firm-supported applications, including Microsoft Suite and legal-specific applications.
  • Ability to produce high-quality documents and demonstrate a desire to learn new technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Big Law or legal environments.
