About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our surgical services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing support and ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of care.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including preparing patients for surgery and assisting with recovery.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a surgical technologist program or equivalent experience.
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and stand for long periods, with flexibility to work rotating shifts and on-call.
