About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain a sterile field for surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Assist surgeons and other medical staff during procedures, providing support and expertise as needed.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care and attention.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest surgical techniques and technologies, and participate in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a surgical technologist program or 2 years of surgical scrub experience.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to emergencies.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and move patients and equipment as needed.
